I aimed to create a 2000-word blog post for my website, using both ChatGPT-5 and ChatGPT-4o Mini for this project. I used the same prompt for both tools at each step to assess their performance in completing my blog.

We placed two laptops side by side. On one laptop, we used GPT-5, and on the other, we used GPT-4. We entered the same prompt on both laptops and clicked “go” at the same time. We also timed the responses to compare their speeds. This setup allowed us to perform a side-by-side comparison using the same prompt, at the same time, on two devices.

ChatGPT-5 did not provide a title, but ChatGPT-4o Mini created one. So, in this instance, ChatGPT-4o Mini clearly performed better.
Who Creates Better Write?
ChatGPT-5 delivered a more formal, journalistic, and technical writing style. It included many source citations and data points, aiming for authority. However, it wasn’t as friendly or engaging as I had hoped. The writing felt more suited for PhD holders. While everything it produced was accurate and credible, it lacked an element of engagement.
On the other hand, ChatGPT-4o Mini provided a friendly, approachable blog-style writing that was designed for general readers, complete with clear headings and explanations. The good news is that it engaged me, although I am unsure whether the information was as accurate as that from ChatGPT-5. Therefore, I felt the need to verify its credibility. But when checked on Google and different sources, ChatGPT 4 provides almost accurate data.
Ultimately, since my primary goal is to engage my readers with valuable content, ChatGPT-4o Mini is the winner. However, if you give attention to speed and more credibility, ChatGPT-5 is better.
GPT-5 or 4o- Which is better for creating an FAQ section?
For compiling the FAQ section, both tools performed excellently. However, when it comes to designing the FAQ section using HTML, CSS, and scripts, I found that GPT-5 did a better job, producing clean code with greater accuracy and exactly what I wanted. Therefore, the winner in this category is GPT-5.
Who is the winner For Image Crreation?
Regarding image creation, GPT-4o Mini takes a considerable amount of time to generate images, while GPT-5 creates them in the blink of an eye. When comparing the two, GPT-5 produces images that are neat and clean, whereas GPT-4o Mini tends to add extra icons. I prefer the images from GPT-5 because their color and focused titles are more appealing to me.
Where GPT 4o wins but GPT 5 Fails
This actually happened to us during testing. After creating the FAQ, we asked both tools, “Who does better in writing?” We also share a doc file containing of 2 tools 5 and 4 s writing.
 We wanted to see which one performed better. ChatGPT-5 failed and provided a completely opposite answer, while GPT-4 gave quite an accurate response.

Overall Winner: Our Choice for the Web Blog Creation Project
If your main priority is engaging and friendly content that is also reasonably accurate, then GPT-4o Mini is the better option (though it’s sometimes necessary to verify the accuracy of the information).
On the other hand, if you prioritize technical accuracy, clean coding, and superior visuals, then GPT-5 is the preferred choice.
As of our testing on August 9, 2025, GPT-5 struggled to be an effective reviewer. It could not provide real and accurate answers, nor could it compare two texts, while GPT-4 excelled in this area.
In our comprehensive workflow test, the results were mixed:
- GPT-4o Mini excelled in Title Creation, Blog Writing (engagement), and Accuracy in Self-Assessment.
- GPT-5 performed better in FAQ Code Design and Image Creation.
- FAQ Compilation resulted in a tie.
- In the comparison task, GPT-4o Mini won, while GPT-5 did not perform well.
GPT-5 vs GPT-4o: What Community Says?
Many developers trying GPT-5 in Cursor are feeling disappointed. In the Cursor forum, one user said it makes weird coding choices, forgets instructions, and even added duplicate backend calls “just in case.” They also said it’s so slow that fixing things by hand is faster, so they went back to Claude.
On Facebook, users are saying similar things. One person tested GPT-5 with several documents and found the output “even worse than 4.5” using the same prompt. Another called it “still robotic” and easy for AI detectors to catch. Many agree it doesn’t feel like much of an upgrade over GPT-4 or 4.5.
